Job Summary


Provides general office, receptionist and clerical assistance that contributes to day to day operations of the center/campus/facility.


Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Maintain current knowledge of Center/Facility and organizations serviced to accurately inform and refer persons requesting service and information.
  2. Perform receptionist duties including answering telephone, routing calls, taking messages and greeting visitors as required.
  3. Perform clerical functions such as data entry, copying, scanning, faxing, collating and other general office duties, as required.
  4. Create and maintain filing systems relevant to office functions and center's activities.
  5. Provide back up for support staff duties.
  6. Perform basic staff scheduling and financial tasks as required.
  7. Coordinate or assist with scheduling meetings and general office events (i.e. conference room and lobby), arrange for refreshments, as requested.
  8. Report all concerns to supervisor, program manager or director.
  9. Assist with special projects, as needed.


Job Qualifications


Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification

  • Associate's degree preferred.



  • Office experience preferred.


Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read, speak and write fluent English. Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to use proper grammar, format and diction.
  • Excellent customer service skills; ability to respond to and appropriately handle telephone calls, inquiries and implements follow up. Ability to effectively communicate and work constructively with staff, clients and general public.
  • Ability to effectively utilize various Microsoft computer software applications (word processing and developing and maintaining basic spreadsheets).
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and implement tasks and projects with some assistance.
  • Ability to display compassion and sensitivity to persons served who may become angry, hostile, or combative.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with personnel and client information.

  • Sits at work station for extended periods with continual concentration.
  • Near visual acuity to see video display terminals.
  • Hand and finger dexterity for key board use.
