This position has a pay rate of $43,888.00 annually, mileage reimbursement, and comprehensive medical package.

Provides day-to-day leadership to center’s office staff and administrative support for center operations and director

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  1. Maintain current knowledge of, develop, and implement procedures related to effective office operations in accordance with center, division and organization policy and procedures
  2. Prepare and process documents for recruitment, new hires, employment/salary changes and terminations under direction of the center director in accordance with personnel policies, human resource development procedures and time lines
  3. Develop, distribute and maintain general correspondence, statistical and formal reports and other written materials, forms and documents as assigned
  4. Provide on-going leadership to office staff. Participate in recruitment and retention efforts, including, interviewing and hiring. Assist in preparation and implementation of relevant professional. Ensure the delegation of responsibility, authority and accountability
  5. Create and maintain personnel and medical only files for each employee, according to established agency and center policies and procedures
  6. Monitor office equipment and space; arrange for repair and maintenance of office equipment, telephones, computers and space. Contact maintenance persons or outside contractors as appropriate
  7. Maintain current knowledge of building policies and procedures and inform staff of any changes
  8. Inform center administrator of issues that arise
  9. Assist with or coordinate special events for the center and the various programs as requested
  10. May be responsible for oversight of petty cash and voucher processing

Job Qualifications

 

Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification

 

  • Business school graduate preferred.
  • High school diploma required.

Experience

  • Bilingual language skills, fluent in spanish, swahili, or kinyarwanda! Strongly Preferred 
  • Minimum two years’ office experience required.
  • Experience in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Contractor management experience required
  • Strong communication required
  • Office management required
